Postcard Friendship Friday Oct. 7

October already!!!

A card illustrating a Russian fairytale.  The illustration is titled "Ivan Tsarevitch in a hand still had only one feather from a tail of the Firebird."

This card was sent to me from a Postcrosser in Moscow, Russia.

I am linking up to Beth at the Best Hearts are Crunchy.

Does the back of the card tell you who the artist was? Beautiful card regardless.

Gorgeous! Is that the same Russian tale on which Igor Stravinsky's ballet 'The Firebird' is based, I wonder? Happy PFF!

I really love that card! I was wondering about Stravinsky's Firebird too.

We have a folklore called 'Ibong Adarna' about the mythical Adarna bird with healing voice and the princes trying to bring back this bird to heal the sick king...this postcard seems to be an illustration for that.
